Inheriting a stash of family photos, letters and greetings cards was my inspiration to start researching my own family history. There were also two mysteries to solve; were we really descended from George III and what was the connection with William Mompesson, the famous Vicar of Eyam, the plague village in Derbyshire? The more I discovered, the more questions there were to answer but it is all great fun.
